TL;DR
-
If you wanted to see what’s happening on Solana, or Bitcoin – you’d need wallets that serve those chains (which MetaMask does not) and then link to Magic Eden…
-
But now, Magic Eden is creating a cross-chain wallet, which will allow its customers to purchase/view/interact with NFTs across multiple blockchains.
Full Story
You know when a friend says “did you watch Game of Thrones?”
And you have to reply with “what streaming service is that? HBO?… No, I don’t have HBO.”
And since you don’t have HBO, you can’t watch Game of Thrones…
Well, same goes for crypto wallets and blockchains.
Here’s what we’re on about:
When you’re scrolling Magic Eden for some new NFTs, you need to link a wallet serving a specific blockchain.
E.g. you might link up a MetaMask wallet to see what is offered on Ethereum.
BUT!
If you wanted to see what’s happening on Solana, or Bitcoin – you’d need wallets that serve those chains (which MetaMask does not) and then link to Magic Eden…
It’s a whole thing. And it’s annoying, at that.
To solve this, Magic Eden is creating the equivalent of ONE streaming service that harvests all the shows…
Or should we say:
Magic Eden is creating a cross-chain wallet.
Which will allow their customers to purchase/view/interact with NFTs across multiple blockchains at once, all from a single browser extension.
Pretty nifty!
