Cradles began their latest beta this week, making their dinosaur hunting MMO open to anyone and everyone willing to download the game and play. Now they reveal rewards for their beta players, including some rather nice prize pools for the top guilds and players in the PvP arena!
The Cradles open beta is now live, and with it, an opportunity to play and earn!
As you might imagine, especially if you have any experience with testing MMOs (or playing early releases), Cradles has encountered login and server issues, and also are having issue with their installer. But, if you can get past that, Cradles has revealed a number of plans they have to offer rewards to players during this beta test.
The biggest prize pools belong to the PvP leaderboards. Players can enter matches in the PvP zone to earn points. Participate as a guild, an individual player, or both! The top 10 PvP players will share a prize pool of $2,000 USD worth of CRD tokens. The top three guilds split a prize pool of $1,000 USD worth of CRD, and they each also receive a special NFT badge.
The Cradles open beta will also include daily quests, rewards for useful feedback and bug reporting, and prizes for posting interesting moments from the game on Twitter or YouTube.
The Cradles demo is completely free. Just head over to the Cradles website, create an account, and you’re ready to download, install, and play!
What is Cradles?
Cradles is an MMORPG set in a world co-inhabited by humans and dinosaurs and features a living world that grows and evolves over time.
Cradles includes a main city hub that functions as the marketplace and social scene. Outside of the city are adventure areas. Here players explore, battle with prehistoric beasts, and collect materials for crafting. The adventure areas will represent different, lost eras of time in the Earth’s history. And, of course, the more dangerous areas provide more lucrative rewards! In Cradles, players acquire equipment, crystals, Civilization Flames. Players use Civilization Flames to light beacon towers, which give the player’s favorite civilization a boost.
Crystals are the main game currency, used to level up weapons, strengthen equipment, and make repairs. Crystals will exist as their own blockchain token. Players earn Crystals in daily quests and in crystal mines.
Interestingly, Cradles has chosen not to sell any NFTs! Instead, they will focus on providing value to their token and let players decide which NFTs are worth trading. Players will have access to a crafting feature, allowing them to use materials harvested from the adventure areas to make equipment.
Cradles will also have some sort of NFT staking / rental system and options for passive income. It will also be a subscription based game.
Cradles has big plans for their MMO including a quest system, player governance, player-created experiences, land ownership, attacks by Chaos on the main cities, and more!
