Your Web3 domain serves multiple purposes: user-owned digital identity, website, and all-in-one cryptocurrency wallet address. Like traditional Web2 domains, Web3 domains offer user-friendly addresses for crypto transactions, addressing issues with alpha-numeric wallet addresses – typo risk, the need for separate addresses per token, and their lack of memorability. This underlines the importance of Web3 domains in the future.
In order to use your domain for receiving crypto payments, you will need to attach wallet addresses to your domain for where you wish to receive the funds. After purchasing a domain, you will need to claim it to a self-custody wallet in order to proceed.
After claiming the domain, you can select “Manage” next to the domain name from the My Domains page.
From the management screen, select “Crypto” from the left-side menu.
Here, simply enter your wallet addresses for each cryptocurrency you wish to receive using your domain. We support 200+ cryptocurrencies, including BTC, ETH, BNB, MATIC, SOL, and many, many more!
When you are done, choose “Confirm Changes” and sign with your main wallet. You’re ready to receive crypto!
Here’s where the magic happens – sending crypto to a Web3 domain couldn’t be more simple! Here’s how to do it – in this example, we’re using BiFrost Wallet.
1) Tap the cryptocurrency you want to send. For example, we’ll be sending MATIC (Polygon).
3) Enter the amount you want to send and tap “Continue”.
4) Here’s where the magic happens – Enter the domain name where you want to send crypto and the wallet will resolve to the domain’s address records.
5) Finally, just tap “Confirm.
