Is it just us…
Or is the sentiment around the metaverse / metaverse related products skewing positive for the first time in a long while?
Think about it…
Zuck just released the Quest 3 VR headset, alongside the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses and the overall reaction from the public/broader industry hasn’t been negative.
…in fact it’s been – dare we say it? – resoundingly positive so far.
Add to that:
-
The fact that the internet seemed genuinely impressed with the 3D avatars shown off in Zuck’s latest appearance on the Lex Fridman Podcast.
-
Google is still investing in blockchain infrastructure specifically designed to support/scale metaverse projects.
-
All while Apple is receiving rave reviews from tech journalists, on its ‘laptop on your face’ style headset (that isn’t even available to purchase yet).
Pair these all together and it starts to feel as though the metaverse is getting its positive public perception back.
…or maybe we’re way too close to it all to tell, and need to go touch some grass.
Who knows, but we’ll take it.
