Animoca Brands has announced a new partnership with LayerZero Labs, creators of the LayerZero interoperability protocol. The multi-year partnership aims to leverage LayerZero’s technology to improve how digital assets and blockchain-based systems work together, improving the experience for both users and developers.
The partnership will use LayerZero’s technology to connect various digital systems and assets across multiple platforms. Mocaverse, a network developed by Animoca Brands that includes systems for account, identity, and reputation management, and Open Campus, a decentralized education platform, are already using LayerZero’s Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) standard to enhance their operations.
The gaming industry, which includes over 3.4 billion players worldwide, is expected to benefit greatly from this partnership. LayerZero’s technology aims to simplify the operation of digital ownership and cross-chain interaction, allowing gamers to enjoy the Web3 experience without getting bogged down in complex technology.
