The window for minting a Bomkus Pass, which allows players to participate in the leaderboards for this upcoming experience on The Sandbox, is now open! These leaderboards offer SAND rewards as well as special, unique Crystals that could lead to even greater treasures!
A new play to earn experience is coming soon to The Sandbox. But this time, the Pass to access the play and earn leaderboards is free to mint for a wide variety of players!
Minting a pass is available for everyone on the mint list, which is quite a long list! For starters, anyone who owns a Sandbox Land or Avatar will be on the list. In addition, anyone holding an NFT from a long list of NFT collections, including BAYC, should also be on the list. See the official blog post for the full list of eligible NFTs.
The Pass minting is free, though you will still need to pay a very small gas fee (the transaction uses the Polygon network). Eligible participants can mint their Bomkus Pass at https://www.sandbox.game/bomkus/leaderboard-pass-minting/en/
These passes provide access to the play to earn leaderboards for the Dr Bomkus Trials, a an upcoming experience in The Sandbox.
The Dr Bomkus Trials
The Dr Bomkus experience will consist of six trials, each with their own leaderboard. Placement on the leaderboards is based on the number of experience points earned during the trial, with tiebreakers decided based on the player for completed the quest the fastest.
Rewards go to the top 1000 players, with second through 100th place receiving SAND tokens. However, the first place player on each leaderboard will receive a special Crystal, each one unique to the Trial. For anyone willing to sacrifice their Crystals to fix Dr. Bomkus’ machine, a legendary treasure awaits in a secret vault! Crystals are tradeable NFTs and will exist on the Polygon network. But with only six in existence, it might be hard finding a seller!
The SAND rewards are pretty generous, with 100 SAND for 501st place and lower, 200 SAND for 11th through 500th, and 5000 SAND for second through tenth places!
The Dr Bomkus Trials will only be open for seven day each, with a new one opening each time the current Trial closes.
The Trials begin on October 25th, 2pm UTC, and run through December 6th, 2pm UTC. Players will be able to claim rewards on December 20th, and Dr Bomkus Vault will open (for Crystal exchanges) on January 10th, 2024.
