Fuse operates on an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible Layer 1 blockchain, which facilitates easy migration and portability of applications developed for Ethereum or other EVM-compatible networks. The blockchain is designed for efficiency, featuring a sub-5-second average block generation time and minimal transaction costs, with fees as low as $0.001 payable in Fuse’s native FUSE token.
Looking ahead, Fuse has ambitious plans to transition into a Zero Knowledge (ZK) Layer-2 network using the Polygon Chain Development Kit (CDK).
