Gala Games announces the first implementation of NFTs into Dragon Strike, a mobile game they picked up earlier this year with their acquisition of Ember Entertainment.
The world of casual gaming, especially on mobile devices, is a huge market. One in which web3 gaming is still working to get a solid foothold on. That effort now takes another step forward as Gala Games announces the first implementation of web3 tech into their recently acquired suite of mobile games.
Earlier this year Gala Games purchased Ember Entertainment, an existing mobile game company to help give them a jumpstart into providing web3 games to the mobile playerbase. Now they follow that with the first integration of an existing mobile game with the GYRI blockchain by allowing players to mint and own NFTs for Dragon Strike!
For fans of Meow Match, fear not! Gala promises that Meow Match will soon join Dragon Strike with blockchain integration!
NFTs in Dragon Strike
This latest update to Dragon Strike allows players to use Scrolls of Minting on max-level heroes and turn them into NFTs. These scrolls can be purchased at the in-game store for 50k Gems. Additionally, players who spent money on previous Dragon Strike purchases will receive Scrolls of Minting as a reward for their support. One scroll for every $100 they spent.
There is also a new option in the store to summon ‘NFT Ready’ Heroes. These Heroes don’t require a Scroll of Minting, and can be converted into NFTs at any point.
NFT Heroes have the same stats as non-NFT Heroes. However, in the future, there may be special opportunities or tournaments that provide rewards for using NFT Heroes.
Players will need to link their Gala wallet to the game app in order to mint heroes and gain rewards. These Dragon Strike NFTS will live on the rapidly growing GYRI chain. It also opens up play to earn opportunities for those willing to grind out new Heroes and sell them to other players!

Dragon Strike is a mobile game and part of the Gala Games ecosystem. It is a match 3 game with PvP options, playable heroes, and empire building! The game allows players to build a powerful empire, launch massive Dragon Strikes by generating huge combos, and summon hundreds of heroes and dragons.
