Native ETH and Lido wstETH transfer program join Wormhole protocol

By introducing native ETH and wstETH transfer software onto the platform, Wormhole has altered the ETH and wstETH movement pattern across numerous EVM-oriented networks. This will facilitate the achievement of increased liquidity and cost-effectiveness.

Built on top of Uniswap v3, this new feature is going to revolutionize the transfer of ETH and wstETH across different EVM-based networks, making it more efficient and liquid than ever before. On the destination chain, there are gas-free transfers. It is exceptionally intuitive to use.

Each blockchain includes a single xETH/wETH pool that facilitates transactions between wrapped (local) ether and xETH (wormhole ether). As the pool operates as a standard Uniswap v3 pool, all participants are encouraged to utilize their preferred method for providing liquidity. The liquidity is concentrated in the center. Nevertheless, LPs impose distinct charges in the form of costs.

When ETH is being transferred from Optimism to Base, it is first exchanged for Wormhole xETH on Uniswap. Subsequently, the xETH is reassigned to Base, and ETH is again exchanged for Base conventional ETH on Uniswap.

All of this is provided at the most minimal of fees. The user initiated their transaction using standard ETH on Optimism and concluded it using standard ETH on Base, which offered enhanced acceleration and reduced transaction fees.

Optimism, Base, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Polygon, and Ethereum are all now ready to facilitate native-to-native ETH transfers as of launch. Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, and Base all support native-to-native Lido wstETH transactions.

Wormhole is the preeminent interoperability platform that enables scalable bridges and multichain applications. Wormhole provides the opportunity for developers to establish connections with liquidity and consumers across over thirty prominent blockchain networks.

This generates applications across DeFi, NFTs, governance, and more. The expanded Wormhole network is utilized by both Circle and Uniswap and is dependable. It is ascribed with facilitating the transfer of over $35 billion through the utilization of over 900 million cross-chain messages.
