The Sandbox brings another huge event to their growing ecosystem. The May Festival offers more events, more prizes and also coincides with their latest land sale!
The Sandbox brings us their latest major event, known as May Festival. It includes over 70 experiences to play, and 1 million in SAND tokens as rewards! This event runs from May 11th through June 12th and offers special rewards for both Land holders, Avatar holders, and even bonuses for other, partner NFTs.

200 is the important number here. 200 quests to be more precise. Both land and avatar owners have a pool of 350k SAND tokens, to be split among those who complete at least 200 quests. In addition, any player who completes 200 quests during the May Festival event earns a Mystery Box. Mystery Boxes can contain SAND tokens, NFTs, and even premium land parcels!

On top of all that, holders of certain collections will also have their own token reward pools! This includes separate pools of 20K SAND tokens for each of the following collections – Rabbids, Hell’s Kitchen, Madballs, Dancefight, and Steve Aoki. Another pool of 200K SAND tokens will be reserved for holders of NFTs from the Paris Hilton collection (coming soon)!
To earn rewards, players need to register with the Sandbox’s KYC system. They will also need to hold onto the related NFTs to earn from the special rewards pools.
The Sandbox Land Sale
Raffle entry is also now open for the Mega City 3 land sale. This sale includes 222 plots available for purchase through a lottery system, and 18 up for auction on Open Sea, including six estates!
Sign ups for the land raffle run through May 10th, 3am UTC. To participate users must have cleared the KYC process and they must also have enough SAND tokens in their wallet for the type of plot they sign up for — 1,011 tokens for a regular plot and 4,683 tokens for a premium plot. There is also an option to sign up for both raffles.
Raffle results will be announced on May 11th at 11am UTC, and winners can make their purchase from May 11th 12pm UTC to May 15th, 12pm UTC. Any plots that aren’t purchased during that window will be put up for auction on Open Sea.
