Ok, Day 1 of the SBF trial is now done and behind us!
Here’s what you missed:

Judge Lewis Kaplan excused 10 potential jurors, after they indicated that they had knowledge that would make it difficult for them to be fair.
(Not all that surprising in a case of this size/notoriety).

SBF’s legal team tried to block FTX users and investors from testifying in the case.
Why? They cite parts of the 6th amendment (“the right to know who your accusers are and the nature of the charges and evidence against you”).
…but it’s most likely the fact that user/investor testimony is bound to make SBF look bad, so they’re using anything/everything they can to block it.
Here’s what’s concerning us:

SBF’s (potential) handle bar mustache.
We’re just going by what we see in the courtroom artist’s depiction, so we could be wrong…but it appears as though SBF has changed up his look.
It’s got big “dad has really been going through something ever since mom left” vibes.
It’s sad, but not in a way that might garner sympathy from a jury, ya know?
