Off The Grid, the so-called Web3 extraction shooter built on the Avalanche blockchain, has maintained momentum after its launch in the early access stages. While the game has fallen from the top 100 most viewed games on the streaming platform Twitch, it has maintained 500,000 daily active addresses (DAA) since its launch, with over 6.6 million individual new addresses interacting on the chain. The game topped the Epic Games Store’s ‘Free to Play’ rankings, surpassing Fortnite and Rocket Arena, and is considered by some to be the game that might bridge Web3 and traditional gaming. Currently, the game is sitting at the eleventh spot, with some claiming that the initial surge was artificially created by paid promotion from well-known game streamers. Even so, the game registered a peak of 850,000 DAA during its first two-week run.
