A new official tournament comes to Gods Unchained. This one offers at least 20K GODS tokens in rewards to players, even including chances to win just by playing! The tournament is already in progress, but it’s not too late to join in and vie for a top spot and claim tickets for your share of the reward pools!
After recently releasing their official mobile apps, Gods Unchained is now ready to bring us a new tournament! Known as Mid March Madness (though it didn’t start until March 24th), this tournament sees players battling it out in Sealed mode, earning reward tickets and chances to earn a number of different prizes just by playing the game!
The rewards pool starts at 20K GODS tokens (currently valued at ~$7,000 USD), but can increase to as much as 100K tokens if the game sees at least 50 thousand players join during the tournament.
This rewards pool will split into three sections. Thirty percent will go into a pool that is split among everyone who plays. Each Sealed mode entry earns you one ticket for this pool. The second pool is win-based and includes 50% of the tokens. Every win earns you a ticket here. And finally, the top 20 players get to split the remaining 20% of the prize, with 15% of that (equaling 3.5% of the entire GODS token rewards pool) going to first place.
In addition, anyone who enters Sealed mode five times will receive a variant of the Glinn card, and those who enter 10 or more times receive a Zaskia variant.
And finally, 40 valuable cards, including 5 Thaeriels, 15 Blades of Whitesplain, and 20 Martyrs of Whiteplain, are up for grabs. Twenty of those will go to the players with the most Sealed mode entries during the tournament, 10 for those with the most wins, and the remaining 10 randomly distributed among all participants.

What is Sealed Mode?
Sealed mode is a special game variant in trading card games. In Gods Unchained players are given a random selection of cards, and must build a deck of 30 from what they are given. They then choose one of three random Gods, and begin battling. A Sealed mode run ends when a player wins 7 matches, or loses 3, whichever comes first. Players can earn token rewards by winning four or more matches.
Entering Sealed mode requires a payment of 10 GODS tokens. Sealed mode is not yet available on the mobile apps.
What is Gods Unchained?
Gods Unchained is a free-to-play, collectible card game. Built on the Ethereum blockchain, Gods Unchained uses the Immutable X layer-2 solution for gas-free trading. Players retain full ownership over their cards. Players can earn digital ‘Core’ cards by playing the game. When a player has multiple, identical Core cards, they can mint these into one blockchain-based card. That card is then tradeable on the markets.
Gods Unchained offers several play and earn opportunities. Players can earn cards by being active players, win packs while competing in the weekend tournaments, and can even receive payments of GODS tokens simply for playing every day!
